following the wedge craze initiated by Isabel Marant, the Patrick Ithier-designed ASH Thelma sought to push the hidden-wedge silhouette towards a more aggressive and grungy direction, combining italian leathermaking with industrial metal buckles that run along the front of the shoes; these synthesise into a beautifully dark and glamorous pair that pushes nonconformity by pairing oil-drenched and sleazy distressed leather, a subversive white rubber heel that contrasts the aged leather, five heavy gauge metal buckles and a never-to-be-forgotten scuffed rubber toe cap that carries the age of the shoe forwards
